CCA FLORIDA PARTNERS WITH MITSUBISHI CORPORATION
Much More than Autos, Global Company Stresses Environmental and Conservation Commitment
|
ORLANDO, Fla. (Sept. 28, 2007) Driving farther along the rewarding road of corporate cross-promotions, CCA Florida recently established a partnership agreement with Cypress, Calif.-based Mitsubishi Motors North America. Uniting the conservation beliefs of both organizations provided the framework for this strategic relationship.
“We’re pleased with the opportunity of working with CCA Florida to promote conservation awareness and stimulate action for today’s natural resource issues,” said Randy Sterling, Southeastern Regional Dealer Advertising Manager for MMNA. “We are very proactive in accepting our corporate responsibility and taking a leadership role in demonstrating what can be done through partnerships like the one we’ve forged CCA Florida.”
MMNA will provide co-branding exposure for CCA Florida through high-visibility displays at Florida’s major automobile industry tradeshows in Miami, Orlando and Florida. In turn, CCA Florida will provide avenues for Mitsubishi’s marketing message.
CCA Florida CEO Rob Hendricks said: “MMNA is truly committed to a greener environment and strong conservation ethics, so we are very excited about working with a corporate entity whose conservation mission clearly stands as a conscious effort and not just an after thought.”
Internationally known for its automobile brands, MMNA’s parent corporation Mitsubishi Corporation (MC) assets reach into the fields of energy, metals, machinery, chemicals, and living-essentials. MC also provides diverse types of business services in the areas of information, financing, and logistics, while investing in global business projects. Other product lines include Mitsubishi Electronics, Nikon Cameras and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (ship building).
Keenly aware of its responsibility to be a good corporate citizen, MC follows a fundamental corporate culture principle of contributing to the wealth of societies by growing with the local and international communities in which it works. Intrinsic to these beliefs is a strong commitment to environmental protection and the conservation of our natural resources.
Among Mitsubishi’s global programs is a long-term commitment to tropical forest regeneration a goal MC pursues through collaboration between industry, research institutions and government agencies. Also, Mitsubishi launched a Global Coral Reef Conservation Project in 2005 to advance global research on coral reef conservation.
Mitsubishi Corporation has developed partnerships with academic institutions and environmental NGOs to bring together industry, academia and the public to support its initiatives. MC balances this strategy with a strong human element by involving company employees and the general public as research volunteers to help deepen understanding and knowledge regarding environmental and conservation issues.
Furthermore, Mitsubishi Companies, together with Mitsubishi International Corporation, established the Mitsubishi International Corporation Foundation (MICF) in 1992. Since its creation, MICF has contributed more than $2.6 million to organizations supporting environmental and conservation efforts throughout the Americas.
Complementing a global awareness, MMNA maintains strong involvement with issues directly related to Florida’s marine resources. Partnering with Florida’s premier conservation group strengthens this pursuit with existing expertise aimed at protecting and conserving the state’s marine resources.
“Because Mitsubishi is a strong conservation proponent, we’re happy to support the efforts of CCA Florida, and we welcome (the group’s) participation in the Florida auto shows,” Sterling said.
Hendricks adds: “What makes this a good fit is that one of MMNA’s objectives is to spread the message of conservation through community-based programs. CCA Florida has always been a grassroots organization, so this has all the makings of a highly productive partnership.
“This is the first step in a larger picture. We hope to get involved with every aspect of Mitsubishi Corporation for the betterment of Florida’s marine resources. I believe our combined commitment will enable us to further the message of conservation stewardship and bring about a positive influence in the issues of our mutual interest.”
