2005 INTER-CHAPTER CHALLENGE
CCA Florida’s Second Annual Inter-chapter Challenge was held on July 15 at the Sarasota Cay Club. A total of 22 boats and 60 anglers representing local chapters from around the state traveled to Sarasota to take part in the event.

The Manatee County Chapter won the overall Grand Championship and bragging rights for the second year in a row.

The photo all-release format is based on total inches of the largest snook, redfish and seatrout. Anglers compete both as team members and individuals. This year’s event, which will have an East coast venue next year, included a poker tournament (won by Jim Gray, Orlando), silent auction, raffles, award ceremony and dinner.

“The Inter-chapter Challenge was started in 2004 to bring members together from all over Florida to share ideas, talk about their particular chapters and have a great day on the water,” said Brian Gorski. “It’s also a way to thank our members for supporting CCA Florida.”
